Education is a crucial component to San Diego’s economy, future, and our communities.

On July 22, 2017 San Diego is joining the nonpartisan DC National March for Education and we want to show our community that you stand with us.

This event is unlike similar events because we are hosting a Student Expo for parents, teachers, kids, and community members.

Purpose of the March: We march to find the best solutions and access to quality education for all members of our community. Our hope is to bring more awareness to issues like better metrics for accountability, after-school programs, public school funding, teachers’ rights, and sharing innovative methods in education.

Political Affiliation: None. We intend to have a nonpartisan march. We also believe participants should be empathetic and kind to one another.

When: July 22, 2017

Location: The March will start at the Civic Center Plaza in San Diego. The Student Expo will be at Washington Elementary at 1789 State St, San Diego, CA 92101. This is where the march completes the 1 mile walk.

Anticipated Numbers: Members of the leadership team organized both San Diego’s Women’s march (40,000) and March for Science SD (23,000). Number are challenging to predict, but we are hoping for a good turn out.

We can’t do it alone and need your help. There are a limited number of booths available but we are inviting you to consider sponsoring this amazing community event.
